We are active all year long in mission to women, children and youth in our community, our country and around the world. You don't necessarily have to be a member of The United Methodist Church to belong, and there is no membership fee, just a pledge of prayers, service and attendance when you can, and whatever you can give, however small to our mission giving offering. Friday, May 2, Church Women United will present May Friendship Day at New Bethel Missionary Baptist Church, 911 9th St, West Palm Beach. The program is entitled God’s Wisdom Inspires Hospitality. Bring a bag lunch. Anyone interested in attending should contact Jane Hamilton, 561-588-0941. Monday May 5 the Bookworms Circle will meet at 6:30 PM at The Olive Garden restaurant on Lake Worth Road. Those wishing to carpool from Lakeside should call Shirley Turner, 561-319-1354. (Their next meeting will be Sept. 8) School of Christian Mission will be held July 22-25 (week) or July 25-27 (weekend) at Bethune-Cookman University in Daytona Beach. The 2008 studies are I Believe in Jesus, Giving our Hearts Away: Native American Survival, and Israel and Palestine. Registration must be postmarked by July 8.
